Simon has 42 years’ experience in franchising and has worked as a franchisee, franchisor and within franchise associations.

For 20 years Simon was a shareholder and member of the board of Oscar Pet Foods with responsibility for franchise support and training. He previously worked for McDonald's and KFC looking after Northern England and Scotland, before spending five years as a franchisee in his own fast-food restaurants.

Simon sat on the board of the BFA from 2012 to 2022 and served as Chairman from 2013 to 2016 before taking on the role of Board Member for International sitting on the World Franchise Council and the board of the European Franchise Federation to represent the BFA on the world stage.

Simon also held the deputy chair and full chair of the European Franchise association for 4 years and now represents the EFF on the World Franchise council holding the position of General Secretary.
