Chris Horkins is a partner in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group at Cassels. Chris is a key member of the firm’s Franchise Law Group and Commercial Litigation and Arbitration team. Chris regularly acts for franchisors in all manner of disputes including rescission claims, default and termination matters, restrictive covenant enforcement, and the defence of class and group proceedings. He was co-counsel to the successful franchisor in the leading case of Raibex Canada Ltd. v ASWR Franchising Group Inc. at the Ontario Court of Appeal. Chris has been recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada, Lexpert, Lexology Index, and Benchmark Litigation, which has repeatedly named Chris to its prestigious “40 & Under List” honouring the top emerging litigators in Canada aged 40 and under.
