Lawrence obtained his Chartered Accountant (CPA,CA) designation in Edmonton, Alberta at KPMG after completing his Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Alberta in 2005. A unique restaurant chain of 3 locations caught his eye and he ventured into business as a partner in Wok Box fresh asian kitchen® and later as a founding partner and CEO of Box Concepts Food Group, a multi-brand franchisor and food manufacturing business. .

Lawrence’s expertise in operations, accounting, finance, strategic planning, real estate, corporate structure and law have been integral to the development of such brands Wok Box fresh asian Kitchen, The Chopped Leaf, Firecrust Custom Pizza & Salads, Hons Wonton House, Kettle & Foods Kitchen, and Caffe Artigiano, amongst others.

Lawrence’s leadership and business excellence were recognized in 2019 by Business in Vancouver, being named to their Top 40 Under 40. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Franchise Association, a past Board Member of the Small Business BC Association, and a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia. Lawrence is father of three and loves reading and living a healthy and active lifestyle.
