Joanne Gilbert-Wiens serves as Counsel, Franchising and Real Estate, for Restaurant Brands International, the parent company of Tim Hortons®, Popeyes®, Burger King®, and Firehouse Subs®. Joanne advises business units within the organization on various matters including commercial leasing, restaurant operations, franchisee relations, and franchise development.

She completed her H.B.A in Sociology at McMaster University, before receiving her J.D. from the University of Ottawa. Prior to joining RBI, Joanne spent 10 years in KMB Law’s Franchise, Retail, & Distribution and Corporate/Commercial practice groups.
