With the 2026 CFA National Convention returning to Ottawa this spring, our members will also come together on Parliament Hill for Franchise Awareness Day on April 16th to defend and advance franchising.
Franchise Awareness Day is much more than just an event. It is a chance for franchisors, franchisees, and suppliers to come together to advocate on behalf of the nearly 2 million Canadians employed by franchising. You will meet with Members of Parliament, Senators, and Staff to influence policies that directly impact your business and everyone involved in franchising across Canada.
With the support of the CFA, you will be equipped with the resources needed to help defend and promote franchising and highlight the positive impact that franchised small businesses have in every local community from coast to coast to coast.
Franchisors are asked to consider bringing their franchisees to this high-value advocacy day. Their voices are essential in helping to reinforce that franchised small businesses are local small businesses with you, who can share the perspective of the franchise small business owner.
If you have any questions regarding Franchise Awareness Day, please contact Derek Robertson, Head of Government Relations & Strategic Partnerships, at drobertson@cfa.ca for more information.
