George Lawton is the Chief Financial Officer at The Answer Company & Founder and President of Powered By Numbers. Being a BComm graduate, George is a Chartered Accountant with more than 20 years of financial experience, providing strategic, financial and operating leadership to business-to-business organizations. He has held various senior financial executive positions, including CEO of Rhema Health Products, CFO of EastCoal Inc., CFO of Mainframe Entertainment Inc., Chairman of the Audit Committee, Director of Extorre Gold Mines and more.

At The Answer Company, George adds value to our team and clients by giving them confidence in our ability to deliver and make informed decisions. In addition to his financial responsibilities, George supports clients using Acumatica, Sage X3(formerly Sage Enterprise Management) and Sage Enterprise Intelligence including implementation, training, and the development of reports and applications using the software.

George is strong in all disciplines: operational management, strategic planning and budgeting, financing, taxation, governance and financial reporting with a breadth of experience in public and private companies, in a variety of business sectors, from start-ups to more mature companies.

He has experience with strategic challenges and risk management in companies that were financially distressed, in good and poor economic times, and in countries with different business practices. George is a proactive team-player who has learned to capitalize on his financial expertise for the benefit of the enterprise. Throughout, he is known as a trustworthy, objective and reliable sounding board for the CEO and Board of Directors.
