Understanding the Business Fundamentals of Franchising

Date & Time
Saturday, April 6, 2024, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Description

Approved for 200 Education Credits

An Essential Course for CFE Candidates. If you are a CFE candidate, or are simply looking to build-out and fine-tune your knowledge of franchising, this is a must attend course for you.

Franchising is an expansive method of distribution used by over 150 distinct industries. While there are commonalities across franchisors and within industries, many franchise professionals only get to understand the dynamics of franchising through the lens of their company or a handful of common approaches used by franchisors in their industry. This can often have a chilling effect on a company’s ability to strengthen and adapt their current franchise offerings and can also limit an individual’s mobility and career opportunities in the franchise space.

This class will explore:

  • History and Basics of Franchising
  • Ownership Structures used in Franchising
  • Critical Issues to Consider in Developing a Franchise System
  • Understanding Site Selection and Territorial Rights
  • Understanding Franchise Fees
  • Supporting Your Franchisees
  • Maintaining Brand Standards
  • Bringing your Franchise System to the United States
